Restaurant Review: Cut by Wolfgang Puck, Dubai

Ideal for… the best steak in town.

Restaurant name and location: Cut by Wolfgang Puck, The Address Hotel Downtown
Cuisine: Fine dining Steakhouse
Atmosphere: Great atmosphere – quite full, yet still felt quite private.
What they say: Critically acclaimed and award winning, CUT by Wolfgang Puck is one of the finest modern steak restaurants in America, Singapore and London, and is now claiming the title in Dubai.
CUT delivers innovation at every level through its unique culinary, service and design combination. The menu offers a modern take on the classic American steak restaurant through global influences and Wolfgang’s philosophy of offering only the finest and freshest ingredients. From prime dry-and wet-aged beef to shellfish and sautéed/roasted whole fresh fish, CUT’s menu will provide broad appeal.
Accompanying the dinner entrees is a large selection of house-made sauces including CUT’s Argentinean Chimichurri, as well as side dishes such as the popular Creamed Spinach with Fried Organic Egg and the Soft Polenta with Parmesan.

What to order:
-Truffle salad (light and fresh)
-Japanese steak and the Australian steak – Filet Mignon with caramelized onion and mushrooms (I’m not the biggest Steak eater, but this was delicious)
-Mac and cheese side (Make sure you have space for this side!)
-Creamed spinach and organic egg as a side
-Apple and pear crumble with a side of walnut icecream
-Cracklin Rosie cocktail (raspberry and rose, lychee, cranberry)
-Time will come mocktail (passion fruit, fresh mint and lime)
Service: The loveliest staff, Diana took great care of us – they sure do know their stuff.

What I loved:
-You don’t need to have the steak knowledge, because you get educated with the different meats and cuts they have.
-The hot cheese gougers in a basket upon arrival – so good.
-The bread selection (my favourites were the pretzel bread and onion focaccia)
-One of the most famous restaurants in Dubai – the restaurant is present in LA, Vegas, London and Singapore.
-It has a romantic feel, incase you’re planning a date or anniversary.
-We sat indoors, but they also have a terrace option with the view of the Burj Khalifa.

Bill for two: AED500 – a pricy meal.
