EAT: The Truffle menu at Eataly

When it comes to organising the perfect Valentine’s day dinner, it’s quite simple in Dubai – the perfect view, a lovely experience. My ultimate favourite choice would have to be Bateaux Dubai (read more about it here)

If you want to go for something a little more casual (with good food!), how about taking your other half out to Eataly for their truffle menu? I love Eataly from Chicago, and constantly forget about it being in Dubai Mall and all the amazing dishes they serve. Relaxed atmosphere, with good Italian food – my favourites from the truffle menu include the Pizza of course, as Eataly do make some of the best pizzas (topped off with Fresh green asparagus and winter black truffle – I decided to get it minus the egg), the creamy risotto served with parmigiano salsa and shaved winter black truffle) and lastly, a delicious pasta taglioni with butter, sage and topped with bread crumbs and shaved winter black truffle. I went with some friends, and they’re great to share – they also have a sea bass, and lamb option. Finish off the meal with something delicious from the Nutella bar!

PAMPER: Valentine’s package at De la Mer day Spa

Whether you’re a single lady that wants to pamper herself, or a man reading this looking for an idea to get your lady, this is definitely it. I love De la Mer’s packages, because not only are they the perfect experiences that people want, but you really get into the spirit of the package. The love your skin you’re in package is a 2 hour package, which starts with a mint foot scrub, before getting a full body scrub with the therapist that gives the best scrubs, Noi (she really does, I’ve had several full body scrubs done by this lady!) – this was one a chocolate and orange mix scrub (smells like orangettes), and after a shower in my treatment room, I relaxed with a coco shea butter Balinese massage (not only does your skin feel very, very soft post scrub – it gets hydrated with the shea butter, not to mention relaxed). The good thing is you don’t even need to worry about your hair, because it all comes to an end with a wash and blow dry getting you ready for a night out or a romantic dinner (I got some curls in by the lovely, Lucy). The package costs AED560, guys – much cheaper than a piece of jewellery and your lady will be one happy, happy lady!

NAIL ART: Valentine’s limited edition nail art at The Nail Spa

To get into the Valentine’s spirit, add some fun to your classic red polish and get a nail art design on one or two nails. One of my favourite therapists for nail art in the city, Che created a few limited edition designs for the romantic occasion. Instead of going for plain red nails, I added two bespoke valentines designs on each hand.
