Moisture Balm: Marc Jacobs beauty lip lock in Makeout

I’m going to call this a moisture balm instead of a lip balm because it is possibly the most buttery lip balm I’ve ever owned and I love it. This rich lip balm not only locks in all the moisture with its ingredients like andiron, buriti, ahead and avocado, it also protects the lips with SPF 18.

Available at Sephora stores.

Lip scrub: Lush Santa’s Lip Scrub

If you’re looking for a lip scrub, I would say Lush and Sara Happ make some of the best! I’ve been using one of their latest one that they launched for Christmas – Santa’s lip scrub, which comes in a bright red shade and smells (&tastes) of cola. Beware: The scrubbing can get messy!

Cult product: By Terry Baume de rose

If there’s one lip balm that every model or actress swears by, it’s the By Terry balm. Made out of rose wax, the balm or ‘baume’ as the French call it, gives the lips a subtle plump as well as hydrates and soothes. This cult investment is also rich enough to apply on the elbows or cuticles.

Lip Serum: Dr Dewy lip cure

I’ve recently started using Dr. Dewy lip products – especially the lip cure, which is a recovery serum with organic nutrients. If you struggle with chapped lips, this is a concentrated product which has extracts and plant oils to help relieve the lips. FYI it’s a gluten free product and doesn’t include beeswax, lanolin or petroleum (which most of the lip balms include) – so an incredibly safe tube to also use.

FYI they are coming to the Middle East very soon!

Tinted lip balm: Clarins Instant light lip balm perfector

If you love your tint once it comes to lip balms, I suggest you try out this brand new one from Clarins. Incredibly hydrating with ingredients such as  shea, mango, vitamin E, and active plant ingredients, the collection comes in 6 colours (my favourite is the rosewood and orange) and smells so lovely, something around a light vanilla scent.

Plumper: Bloom Lip Plump

Even though this is a lip plumper, I would consider this more of a moisturizer than a lip plumper. Transparent, and smells delicious (think vanilla), this is great if you don’t want to add any color as it gives off a gloss finish
