Ideal for… a fun casual night out in Abu Dhabi over delicious food and drinks.

Restaurant name and location: Bentley Bistro & Bar at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi

Cuisine: European Bistro & Bar

Atmosphere: I was there on a Thursday night – buzzing, full, quite impressive for Abu Dhabi.

What they say: French inspired Bistro serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. A bar with a DJ and its own food menu.

What to order:

-Lentil salad, Burrata cheese, tomato and chili jam (a must if you love lentil salads and burratas!)

-No rice risotto (light, great as a starter)

-Fillet with egg and mushroom (tender, flavorful)

-Hand cut potato chips, grated parmesan, parsley, truffle oil

-Chocolate Hazelnut pudding with Hazelnut ice cream (reminds me of the famous molten cake!)

-Magic Wood mocktail with basil, strawberry and cranberry (refreshing, a great non alcoholic option)

Service: Ace! Our server, Ash from South Africa was amazing and knew his stuff

What I loved:

-The warm welcome – you get a chalkboard saying ‘welcome XXX’ to show the table is reserved.

-The steak was out of this world delicious.

-The atmosphere for Abu Dhabi, definitely a top place for good atmosphere.

-The freshly baked bread that was on the table… dangerous too!

Bill for two: AED300-400
