Ideal for… Taking someone special for that Thai Craving. Whether with family or on a date – one of the best Thai restaurants in the city. Perfect if they love Spicy food too!

Restaurant name and location: The Thai Kitchen at the Park Hyatt Dubai (Deira)

Cuisine: Thai

Atmosphere: Authentic, you get greeted the traditional way as soon as you walk in. The restaurant was quiet but then again, this restaurant is mostly known by loyalists and this was on a weekday evening.

What they say: The Thai Kitchen at Park Hyatt Dubai presents authentic Thai dishes prepared by native chefs. This award-winning Dubai hotel restaurant offers three live kitchens – one each for wok, grill and noodles – as well as an additional kitchen devoted to the preparation of traditional Thai desserts. Reminiscent of the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok, The Thai Kitchen places its tables near each of the kitchens, allowing restaurant guests to enjoy the sights and aromas of classic Thai cuisine preparation.

What to order:

-Sesame prawn toast (one of the best I’ve had)

-Chicken wrapped in leaves (healthy and perfect with the sweet soy sauce)

-Shrimp spring rolls

-Green chicken curry (this is very spicy though!)

-Crab with curry (flavourful)

-Pad thai

Sticky rice, mango (one of the best I had – coconut milk and fresh mangoes)

Service: The staff were prompt, kind and had great charisma. Ace, ace service.

What I loved:

-The place for authentic Thai food in Dubai – considered one of the top Thai restaurants in Dubai.

-The Elegance of the restaurant – quite classy and elegant compared to most Thai restaurants in the city.

-Tapas style dishes, this means you get to try more and you don’t leave uncomfortably stuffed.

-Live cooking stations and open plan kitchen featuring a range of different coloured vegetables and a large pepper bowl.

-Traditional tea cups on the table ready for Jasmine tea post dinner.

-They start the meals with fried beef and end it with Jasmine tea for everyone

-Towels are serves pre and post meal.

Bill for two: AED 300
