Ideal for… Drinks and nibbles with friends at a happening lounge in the city!

What they say: The newest addition to Dubai’s exciting nightlife, the IRIS Restaurant & Lounge offers the ultimate rooftop experience. Located on the 27th floor of The Oberoi, Dubai, this open air restaurant offers breathtaking views with the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa and the city skyline. The live band and DJ make it one of the sought after spots to experience Dubai’s vibrant nightlife.

What to order:

-Range of drinks – porn star martini to lychee and chocolate martinis.

-Quinoa salad (sweet with figs and apricot)

-Burrata on bruschetta (fresh and flavorful)

-Corn fed lemon grilled chicken (light and perfectly seasoned)

-Pain perdu (huge portion, one to share between two)

Service: It didn’t start off well with the staff being snobby and not given a good table, even though it was booked a week in advance. After getting seated, we were taken care of… but due to it being fully packed, the service is definitely sacrificed.

What I loved:

-One of the most happening places in Dubai at the moment – especially on weekends.

-Urban, Loft style interiors

-A famous Rooftop bar from Beirut that opened in Dubai

What I didn’t love as much:

-Their staff aren’t the sweetest, so make sure you book in advance and specify where you want to sit or you’ll be disappointed.
