When in Paris… with Rochas.

I recently flew out to Paris during fashion week with one of the oldest French brands, Rochas. Staying in one of the very french hotels, Le Meurice – we were exposed to the life of Rochas. Within the trip, we were re introduced to the Rochas secret fragrance that came out recently, the archive of Fragrances (I love the old Tocade, which they relaunched – a mix of florals and vanilla), I spoke to Cecile Cassel about her fashion fall and spring tips as well as what beauty products she wears by and ended by attending the fashion show during PFW, with Rochas’ first show since their new designer, Alessandro Dell’Acqua joined the brand.

I started my day with hair & make up with a fab glam team in Paris including Make up artist, Khela Tyson an hairdresser, Hugo Raiah before heading to interview French actress, singer and Rochas fragrance face of their new scent ‘Secret de ROCHAS’, Cecile Cassel on her fashion and beauty routines, and how she translates her style from Fall to Spring (look out for the interview!) To give you an idea on the fragrance, it’s a mix of Parisian allure, femininity and the French joie de vivre using notes top notes of Rose, mango, passion fruit and peach to a heart of Jasmine samba and their secret ingredient (hence the name!) and finishes off with a base of Transparent Moss Accord, Patchouli and Musky notes.

To give you some brief on the brand, Rochas was established in 1925 as a classic French heritage brand, but re-launched their fashion division in 2009. Rochas was always considered as an older woman’s brand, but I’ve been so impressed with the past new collections – especially with the more wearable pieces in this season’s collection. This season’s collection took place at a popular PFW location, Place Vendome – Here’s a breakdown of the show.

The collection: This was Rochas’ debut collection by Alessandro Dell’Acqua – the collection still felt like the ROCHAS aesthetic, and was definitely a strong collection by Dell’Aqua.

Color Palette: Darks, pale pink, gold and beige.

Front row sightings: Cecile Cassel, Anna Wintour, and Franca Sozzani.

Trends: Gloves, cat eye sunglasses, peplum, embellishments, layering, pencil skirts with slits, fur coats and brocade.

The beauty: Strong lashes and pale lips with a middle parting.
