I recently went out for dinner to Fire & Ice – a restaurant that has been open for a few years here in Dubai at the beautiful Raffles Hotel by Wafi City. Super romantic, quiet, and relaxing with just really good, high quality food. Perfect for the meat lovers, who enjoy having fine wine with their food.

 

Restaurant name and location: Fire & Ice at the Raffles Hotel next to Wafi, Dubai.

Cuisine: European, Steak & Seafood

Atmosphere: Romantic – Chic looking restaurant that looks like it’s from NYC or London.

What they say: Fire & Ice is a sophisticated grill serving some of the best meat in Dubai. Decorated in dark wood and earth tones, it has an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of the New York Meatpacking District. With special seasonal offers each month and a mouthwatering seafood grill, Fire & Ice is the perfect place to enjoy dinner with friends or family. On the mezzanine floor there are four semi-private dining rooms that can be reserved. Two have the added advantage of a private terrace.

 

What to order:

-Seafood risotto as a starter (the portion is quite large for a starter though)

-Buratta (I’m a Buratta fanatic, and this was perfection – creamy and delicious.)

-Grass Fed tenderloin steak with Wild Mushroom sauce (one of the best steaks you’ll have – the choices of sides and sauces are just endless.)

-White Chocolate Cheesecake

 

Service: Impeccable service. Our server, Jeevan was amazing.

 

What I loved:

-The serving of a hot towel before and after your meal – refreshing and jasmine scented.

-The sofa chairs are extremely comfortable, and they give you a cushion for your back – we needed it as we had a good three hour meal.

-Large wine list of over 400 wines – they also help you with wine pairings for each course.

-They bring a pot of confit garlic with the bread and butter.

-Vast selection of side orders from Truffled Sweet Potato Gratin, Caramelized onions to Steak fries.

-A lovely selection of sauces from Blue cheese sauce, Lemon butter sauce, Black tea BBQ, to confit garlic and herb butter.

-They also have an outdoor terrace and bar.

-Interiors with the Open hot kitchen.
