There has been a lot of buzz around this new restaurant opening so I was eager to check it out once it opened. Toko is a famous restaurant and a celeb favourite in Sydney & recently opened in Dubai…  I recently went to Toko for early dinner with a friend on a Thursday night and let me just tell you… this IS the new hip restaurant in Dubai.

Restaurant name and location: Toko at Vida Hotel, Dubai.

Cuisine: Japanese

Atmosphere: Buzzing – full with a load of chic men and women. and pretty & handsome staff.

What they say: From Sydney Australia, Toko has Established itself as the Ultimate Japanese Dining Experience by Serving a Premium Fusion Menu in an Inspired Setting.

What to order:

-Salmon Tartare (Fresh!)

-Wagyu beef gyoza (So good, juicy, melts in your mouth.)

-Assorted Sushi

-Baby chicken namban, sweet-sour glaze (Flavorful)

-Hazelnut and chocolate foundant (With salted caramel on the inside, heavenly.)

Service: Great service – a lot of them have been brought from Australia. The staff know what they’re talking about, which is usually what they lack when a new restaurant opens.

What I loved:

-Don’t worry about the parking, they have valet service.

-Chic space and super spacious.

-The staff are pretty trained for such a new restaurant.

-Hip and cool crowd.

-Presentation of food and stylish plates.

-Everything we ordered was extremely fresh – especially the seafood.

Bill for two: AED500
