An early start to the day for the Tory Burch show, which took place in a beautiful ballroom, in Upper East Side’s The Pierre Hotel. I wore a Helene Berman lace neon skirt with a slouchy sweater. In comparison to previous collections, the TB girl has grown up, and dresses up with a little more luxury. The collection, which included a palette of jewel tones featured ‘lady’ clothes such as tweed, mid length skirts and dresses, and long leather gloves.

Starting my day to one of my favorite US brands – Michael Kors. I wore a Jil Sander paisley skirt with a slouchy sweater and popped on some boots. The show had such great energy, with a star studded front row from Zoe Saldana, Hilary Swank, to Jada and Willow Smith, all the way to Michael Douglas. Inspired by New York, the collection was Urban meets Uptown polish. The Palette was mainly electric colors (such as cobalt blue and neon pinks and oranges.) juxtaposed with black, white, olive and charcoal. Karlie Kloss in the shining dress for the finale was just beautiful, bring on the glamour Michael!

Moving on to a brand I personally love, a lower line from Alberta Ferretti – Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti. For the Fall ’13 season, Creative director, Natalie Ratabesi  (This is the first collection by Natalie, who has previously worked for John Galliano, Oscar de la Renta, and Ralph Lauren) went for feminine, polished and put together pieces yet kept a youthful party girl feel to them. Sexy sheer blousers, cropped trousers, knee socks, and slouchy sweaters were highlighted through out the collection. I love how young, yet sophisticated the collection was.
