Sugar Fix in Dubai.
- January 31, 2013
I have the sweetest tooth… and I’m always on the hunt for great places to get my sugar fix. Make sure to follow me on Instagram and twitter for my discoveries but these three would have to top off my list this month!
I love hosting parties, and little events and always on the look out for great places to bring desserts from. Maison Sucre are definitely one of the best for fashion themed desserts- super creative, and are always developing their designs. I recently tried out their ‘tash marshmallows (how cute?!) and Karl cupcakes which have got to be the coolest things I’ve seen…

-Debauve & Gallais
One thing, how did I not know this existed in Dubai?! I was recently invited to Debauve & Gallais to uncover the history and the story behind this amazing concept. I was actually not familiar with Debauve from Paris, but as soon as I entered the doors, I was smitten. Paying homage to Marie Antoinette, the Salon de the was all about every detail and deco. The Boutique Manager was great with sharing facts on the history and origins. Situated in DIFC, this little salon is the perfect place to catch up with girlfriends for tea (go for the Rami, which tastes like a light chocolate tea) and chocolates. You can also pick up some chocolates to take home or pack a chic box for a housewarming present.
-Kitsch Bakery Doughnuts
Bye bye cupcakes (or maybe not), but hello Doughnuts! One of my favorite cupcake bakeries in Dubai, Kitsch Bakery have just come out with baked Doughnuts (the usual ones are fried) and they come in three flavors - cinnamon sugar (my fave!), red velvet and peanut butter chocolate. I’ve been so obsessed with it, I’ve been picking it some up every day to have with my morning coffee… yum, yum, yum!! Not as heavy as a cupcake, but just as satisfying. For more, click here
