A Conversation with... Stella McCartney.

As part of Stella McCartney’s ‘World of Stella’ exhibition and week of events at Selfridges, it ended with a conversation between Stella McCartney herself and Vogue UK  editor in chief, Alexandra Shulman. I also got the chance to meet the real life models behind Stella’s Adidas olympic range (for more on that, click HERE) The lecture took place at Selfridges and was super inspiring… I also had the chance to meet Stella and sit down with her after the event which was the perfect way to end the evening…

Highlights from the lecture:

-Stella designs what women want and need.
-She says, “everyone needs a great tailored jacket, a great tshirt and a great pair of jeans.”
-On the highstreet copying her designs: “It is what it is…”
-On not using leather and fur in her collections: “It is incredibly tricky to find great fake leather and fake fur, which I find interesting and very exciting. I like the challenge.”
-On why she designs sportswear: “I don’t think you need to sacrifice style for sport.”
-She lives in the moment!

I am obsessed with Stella’s current collection – check it out & shop HERE.
